FAQs
How long do I have to register my gift?
You need to register your gift before the ‘register by’ date on your gift registration booklet. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible.
How do I choose which donkey to adopt?
Simply read through the Donkeys for Adoption booklet which gives details of the various donkeys available for adoption. Decide which one you would like to adopt and then make your choice when you register the gift.
How long does my adoption last?
Your adoption lasts for 12 months from the date of registration.
How long does it take for me to receive my certificate and photograph?
These will be dispatched within 28 days receipt of your registration details. Occasionally, factors outside of Gift Republic’s control may affect delivery times.
Can I visit the donkeys?
Many adopters are able to visit their donkey on the farm in Oxfordshire, UK. The full address and contact details are provided in the gift tin. The Sanctuary is open daily from 11am–4pm. If you would like to visit a particular donkey, please contact the farm beforehand as the donkeys often take part in community activities off the farm. Please note that the farm can get very muddy!
Will I be able to ride my adopted donkey?
No. Although some of the donkeys can be ridden, all riding time is given to children with special needs.
Disclaimer: This gift package is produced in association with the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary (IFDS), UK Registered Charity Number 1121697. The charity does not just concentrate its efforts on one particular project or donkey. If for any reason your chosen donkey is unavailable, the charity reserves the right to allocate the donation wherever they feel the need is greatest. For every person that registers their gift, Gift Republic donates approximately 10% of the RRP directly to the IFDS. The adoption is valid for 12 months from the date of registration. This is a novelty gift item and must be regarded as such.
